Concerned about the perfection of the products he delivers, Charles works with thoroughness and precision, keeping abreast of the numerous technological advances in the optics field. He attaches a great importance to the elegance and the comfort of the frames he selects for his sensible clientele, and his great sense of listening enables him to meet the expectations of the most demanding customers. IIn spite of a comfortable and established situation, Charles did not hesitate to take the plunge when he learnt that the Parisian boutique located Rue de Seine that he coveted for years, was on sale in summer 2013…
He embarked on the adventure as soon as October 2013. Located in the intellectual and cultural area of Saint-Germain-des-Prés at the 99 rue de Seine, known as the street of art galleries, bookshops and publishers, halfway between the Luxembourg Gardens and the Seine, this charming optical boutique founded in 1984 fully reflects the so dear to Charles French elegance. The tourists from all over the world, who walk down the streets of this legendary district, are fans of this unique place in the world that is a byword for “Parisian chic”. It is in this authentic place with the walls covered with antique woodwork that Charles decided to put into practice his know-how and to perform his job with passion.
Naturally curious, Charles is constantly on the lookout for new trends and offers his clientele elegant and refined models, highlighting the “Made in France” by collaborating with talented designers. He also offers a wide selection of custom-made glasses, in horn or cellulose acetate, handcrafted by creative eyewear- craftspeople, as well as legendary models from Oliver Peoples, Cutler and Gross … To round this already attractive picture, the fact that Charles has always been attracted by the manual side of his profession, making him carry out by himself the lens-cutting and the glasses-assembling in his on-the-spot “mini-workshop”, will seduce even the most demanding customers
